ANCEL AD310 Classic Enhanced Universal OBD II Scanner

ANCEL AD310 is a great upgrade from more basic diagnostic code readers. The major function of this scanner is detecting the Engine System, reading and erasing error codes. Once plugged into your vehicle’s 16pin OBDII DLC, the unit will power up and prompt you to start your ignition. If your vehicle has a Check Engine Light on, AD310 is the first tool you need to have to help you determine the cause and find a solution.

ANCEL AD310 Classic Enhanced Universal OBD II Scanner Car

1. Where’s the OBDII interface?

  • The OBD2 port is often under the dash, or under a panel below the handbrake in the central console.

2. How to get started?

  • Simply plug into the OBD II port on your car and turn ignition on and you ready to go.
  • The following are two correct usage methods:

A – Key operation:1. Turn the ignition on without starting the car; 2. Start the car.

B – Keyless operation: 1. Press the start button and then press again but don’t press the brake pedal, the dashboard has already powered up. Then plug the tool and read; 2. Press the brake pedal and press the start button to ignition start.

3. Why I can’t erase the fault code?

  • The fault causing the fault code to show will need to be repaired first then code can be erased.

Please Note:

  • Works on vehicles with 12V battery only;
  • Must be standard OBD II protocol (16pin port).

What can I say, it saved me a bunch of cash that I would have had to pay at a dealership or tuneup shop. I purchased the unit when I had a check engine light come up on my Ford Escape. As soon as it arrived I hooked it up which was so simple I refuse to tell you how! The trouble code was quickly displayed and I went to the Internet and found the explanation of the code. Back to Amazon to buy the required sensor, sensor delivered and back to the Internet to see how to install it. After installation used the ANCEL unit to clear the code and check engine light. Job done, another happy customer.I almost look forward to the next “Check Engine” light!

I have a 1998 Ford explorer sport, just recently had to take it the local shop for a temperature sensor problem. Diagnostic fee was 110 bucks, after replacing the sensor the cost was 225 bucks. Just recently bought the Ancel scanner because I had a check engine light coming on. Plugged it in, turned on the ignition, scanned codes, o2 sensor bank 1 s2 code popped up. Googled the location and found it was the upstream sensor. What a fantastic unit, easy as pie. Bought the sensor for 30$, installed it myself. Yahoo!

A must have for every vehicle owner, gives a brief description of the code, no need to search!. Plug & Play! Works on my 2002 BMW 530i and also tested on Honda Odyssey/ Chevy tahoe. I would buy again as a christmas gift next time. Thanks for a great product.

Wow, this sucker worked WAY better than I expected. Plugged it in, it told me to turn key to on position. I flipped the key, and within about 20 seconds I had both of my codes on the screen, and was able to clear them (I knew in advance they just needed to be cleared). This was the first time I have used it, but having been to auto zone several times to have them check the codes for me, this device works twice as fast as the ones they use..

I had a code pop up. Scanner told me the code, I was able to fix the issue, and clear the code. Intuitive to use, easy to follow. No battery needed, uses the power system in the OBID connector. That was on my Mustang, I plugged the system into my Jeep. Ran a scan of both the engine and the transmission. No codes and perfect health. Device is priced right, gives instant readings, and the ability to clear codes after the repair is done. Again, system is easy to use, very intuitive, and quality built. Highly recommended.

I was going to buy a more expensive unit but thought I would try this one. I repaired 3 vehicles in one day with the help of this unit. I saw bad reviews and thought, I don’t listen to reviews of movies so, and I was right again! A retired mechanic who hates computerized cars!

This OBD II reader is unlike the inexpensive ones that you have to use an app on your phone to activate (which I also own). This is a stand alone reader that is very user friendly, and prompts you on every move. It immediately identifies your car, and you don’t have to enter the year, make, engine, etc. of your car. This unit is also inexpensive compared to others on the market, and I highly recommend it.

The Only OBD2 reader you’ll ever need. The engine check light on my dash came on, so I stopped by the Honda dealership to see what the issue could have been. Of course, I was told there would be a $95 charge if I wanted them to pull the code which would’nt of have covered any labor or parts if needed. I decided to leave and ordered the Ancel AD310 OBD2 Reader which arrived the next day.I read the manual, plugged it in and sure enough a code appeared. It even had a description of what the code meant and which part most likely would have to be replaced. I did some further research online and figured out what I had to replace in order to get rid of the check engine light.I would definitely recommend this product for anyone needing to pull codes when that check engine light comes on.Save yourself some money! Get the parts yourself and maybe even do the labor on your own if you’re able to!

I recently purchased a used car. Almost like clockwork the Check Engine Soon light turned on. I don’t know a lot about cars, so I didn’t want to walk into a shop and get taken advantage of. I purchased this reader so that I could get the codes myself and research them on the internet and potentially estimate the cost of the repairs. I was able to confirm that the shop I went to got the same codes I did.The reader is very easy to use. You just need to locate where the reader would plug into your car. You can choose to clear the codes after you read them which will likely turn off the Check Engine Soon light. It’s not a bad ideal to run the code check again if the light comes back on to see if you get the same codes.I highly recommend anyone to get this code reader just to keep in your tool box. It could save you hundreds of dollars in unnecessary repairs from unscrupulous car service shops.

After hitting a few bumps on the road and noticing the “Service Engine Soon” light come on in the middle of my commute, I was afraid that I would have to take a day off of work to get my car inspected and fixed. Thinking I could at least save some time and money by knowing what exactly was wrong with the car, I ordered the ANCEL AD310 Classic Enhanced Universal OBD II Scanner Car Engine Fault Code Reader CAN Diagnostic Scan Tool – Black hope was to figure out if the problem was major enough to get it fixed by a professional, or if it was something I could fix on my own. I used the Scan Tool as soon as it arrived, and right off the bat the tool gave me the engine fault code and the description. Turned out, I had an “Evaporative Emissions Leak”, which could be caused by a loose gas cap. Sure enough, my gas cap was put on wrong, and after a day the engine’s computer reset and cleared the fault code!I could have easily spent $200 just for a mechanic to tell me my gas cap was on wrong, so literally within the hour of receiving it, the Scan Tool paid for itself several times over!I definitely recommend this product!
