Beautiful camera I’m very impressed took me over an hour or so to replace the old one cuz I had to run all new wiring so I had to take everything out especially the radio to plug into the back of it but once it was installed it was gorgeous I could see everything clear as a bell and the picture quality was most outstanding you will not be disappointed especially the price pick one up today

Just installed this camera to my Pioneer AVH-2300nex in my 04 F150. I haven’t put many road miles on it yet, but initially the camera has a good picture and no color distortion.

This camera is outstanding! The picture quality is crystal clear, and the ability to adjust the tilt of the camera means you can pin-point your sweet spot so that you can back up with certainty! The camera generates its own distance guides which make it even more useful (you can clip a wire to turn these off if your car/monitor already generates its own guides). The install is drop dead simple. Connect the red wire to your reverse light positive wire, ground the black wire, and connect the power plug and yellow RCA connector to the camera and then run the cable from the license plate up to your monitor/stereo. I install this in a Ford F150 extended cab and had plenty of wire for the run! Best thing is the cable has a red wire that is also on the other end that you can connect to your stereos reverse sensing input wire so you don’t have to try and figure that out under the dashboard! They really thought of everything for you. GO eRapta! WOULD DEFINITELY BUY AGAIN!!

I bought this camera to replace one that came with the monitor I had purchased from another company. The ERT01 is a much better camera. The color is much, much better and is significantly brighter than my old camera.Installation was simple, as the hookup was identical to my old camera.Customer service was exceptional. I had ordered a second unit to use as a front facing camera. This unit was not designed to be used in that manner (forward image was reversed). eRapta sent me the correct camera with no hassle. A simple email to them was all it took. New unit arrived in 3 days.I am well satisfied with the product and the vendor.

As someone who rarely likes to rely on backup cameras, this was surprisingly useful. Very impressed with the backup guidelines as shown in the pictures I backed into a parking spot using only the guidelines and I was perfectly centered in the spot. Only bad feature is that if you have this camera on constant power to view anytime from your head unit, there is no way to shut the lights off on the camera. I reached out to the erapta costumer support and explained this problem and they are sending me the third gen camera free of charge! Hands down best costumer service I have ever dealt with.

Installed on my 2003 F250 Crew cab truck. It is a short bed (6.5′), but there is enough length in the cable to reach a long bed if required. Single RCA cable from the camera to the display and another set of wires for ground and to wire into your backup light. The rear camera image has the lines to help with backing up. Image is great on camera and easy to view. I don’t know if the LED lights help or not since I have extra reverse lights. They do look bright when I pre-tested the system. This is connected to a Pumpkin 10.1″ Android 7.1 stereo and works perfect. I would recommend this to anybody and would buy and install again.

I installed this on my travel trailer so that I can see while backing it up. It produces a clear image and the adjustable angle of the camera means I can compensate for the somewhat wonky angle of my license plate. It is important to note that many trailers do not have reverse lights, and, therefore, no means of powering the device when the vehicle is in reverse only. I wired mine to the tail lights. Hence, I can turn on the camera just by turning the lights on in my truck. The camera will come on whenever I drive with the trailer at night, but if I decide I don’t like that I can put a switch on the power wire under the dashboard of the truck. This unit makes a great second camera. I already have a back-up camera on the truck, but the display has two inputs. I wired the trailer camera to the primary input, so whenever the trailer is hooked up, that camera is displayed. I used a hard wire to connect the truck camera to the display and a wireless transmitter for the trailer camera. This product comes with a power wire only. You will have to decide how you are going to connect it to your display, and obtain appropriate hardware.

I installed this while installing my Pioneer AVH 4200NEX in my 2005 Dodge Magnum.I documented a video on how I installed my stereo from start to finish. On YouTube it’s called:Installing a Stereo, USB Ports, and a Backup Camera in a 2005 Dodge Magnum. The backup camera install begins at 53:01

5 stars for customer service. ERT01 camera was ok, 3 stars maybe. I bought the camera due to the IP69 rating. Picture was decent but I also experienced the purple tone on the screen particularily on trees and things that are supposed to be green. I reached out to eRapta and their customer service was amazing. They mentioned they had a run that had that issue but most do not have that anymore and that I must have got an old one. They were very responsive and worked with me to exchange it quickly and hassle free. I ultimately ended up deciding to upgrade to the ERT03. Will hop on here and update this after I receive that one. Fantastic customer service experience.

This camera is awesome. If you don’t want to hard mount your back-up camera, this is the way to go. While it is obvious, and sits on top of your license plate, it doesnt look out of place or strange really. It could also be mounted higher, above your plate with a little modification. The picture quality is excellent. One thing to note is that the “guide” lines are somewhat useless since they obviously don’t turn with the car, so cutting the loop wire will remove them. I personally suggest doing this. I also disabled the guides on my stereo, so I can just see the feed, unobstructed. Another thing to note is that the lights on the camera are bright white LEDs, not IR lights. If you’re using it as a back up camera, be sure to wire it into your reverse light, instead of a constant hot. Otherwise it will be lit up all the time.If you’re planning on using it for anything else, note that when the camera is powered, those bright white LEDs are on. They do help with the image though, and even late at night, during rain, the picture is really clear. The field of view is pretty wide, but not so much that you lose your ability to judge the space covered. I’m not sure what the degree rating is for it, I’d guess around 110 to 130. It’s enough to see anything you’d need to see within reason.I’ve been using it for a month now and I am very happy with its performance. Like I said before, the picture is very clear, field of view is easy on the eyes. And the onboard LEDs in concert with your reverse lights, provide ample light for the sensor. If you’re on the fence, get it!
