2 owners previously was my older sisters car which she used to commute from WI to Florida.
This car was bought and personalized for my 16 year old daughter who isn’t responsible enough to have this car. That’s y we are selling it to teach a hard yet nessasaary lesson about life.
About the car… I’ve went through it 100 Percent and I feel it’s safe and reliable enough to put my kid and her friends in it.
I did some preventive maintenance as I assumed I’d be in this cars life for at least a few years. (I used to work on cars for a living) I rust proofed basically the whole engine bay and followed that up with a “custom” paint job. I think it turned out pretty good considering I’m no painter. I rust proofed and hi temp siliconed the vital spots that get chewed up by wi winters underneath the car. The underside is actually in real good shape considering the year and where we live.
I changed the oil yesterday.
I fixed a small exhaust leak at the flex pipe a CPL weeks ago with stuff I had in my garage and thats holding up fine.
I put New/used tires on it a few months ago. I believe they are 215/45/17’s and it Handels very well.
AC blows cold.
Drives down the road straight and the suspension is tight and in good shape.
Brakes are good yet a little bit of pulsing but that is cleaning up as it gets driven. Car was in my garage for about 6 months. Charged up the battery and changed the oil and she runs great. I’d personally drive it anywhere.
I replaced the factory speakers radio sounds good. Just the stock radio/CD player is in there.
Exterior has flaws the paint was sun beat on the rear trunk lid/spoiler my sister’s boyfriend at the time tryed to “fix” the problem but failed. Same with the pass side rear quarter panel. I planned on painting it down the road for her. There are two dings I know of for sure and that shows in the pics. There was some surface rust starting at the bottom of the doors so I just went over that with some Rust-Oleum rust stopper. I was going to address that at the time of the paint clean up. From 10 feet it’s a looker. I live on a busy street and Because there is no plates on it sitting in my driveway I used to have ppl stop all the time asking if it was for sale. That’s y I put it in the garage.
Cons- the driver side door latch is broke in the door panel. I had the part ordered from eBay 8 bucks but they sent me the wrong one. I’m not going to fix it. It’s a diy thing if u can afford 8 bucks and sit through a 15 min YouTube video. So that said until that’s fixed you have to climb over from the passenger side. Yes it sucks, in my opinion it sucks very bad however my wife who is 5 ft two doesn’t seem to have any problem at all.
2nd is the key fob. That can so be had cheap on eBay. My sister never gave us the fob and after she moved to Florida it was gone forever and I knew it so I never asked her for it. U can however lock the car with the key. If you can get passed those two things and the exterior imperfections I believe the new owner would be happy with the car and think it would treat them well. I took some pics a week ago when I took it out of the garage and had it on the battery charger. Call or text anytime. Thanks , Kevin
